My work is about wonder; it transmutes my embodied experience of everyday life into ruminations on consciousness and presence. This ethos informs paintings characterized by their formal economy and thematic fluidity—they’re often analogues for meditation.
The source material I reference comes from a blend of firsthand sketching and photography, studies in fiction, and art historical research. These modes of inquiry shape a visual language simultaneously informed by both observation and allegorical abstraction.
